Awards

ECTP Lifetime Award

The Award is intended:

  • To honour outstanding scientific work in any field of research on thermophysical properties
  • To encourage efforts which help to understand and make it possible to predict the thermophysical properties of matter
  • To underline the importance attributed by the scientific community and by industry to the broadening of our knowledge about the thermophysical properties of matter

Nominations are invited for the ECTP Lifetime Award in recognition of well-defined original scientific achievements in thermophysics over a long period of activity. The application can be made either personally or by a (some) sponsor(s). Each nomination should be accompanied by a brief biography, a list of significant publications, a description of professional achievements in thermophysics and 1-2 letter(s) of recommendation from influential members of the thermophysics community detailing the specific reasons for the nomination.

Nominations should reach the ECTP-IOC Lifetime Award Committee Chair B. Wakeham before November 30, 2025.

ARED CEZAIRLIYAN ANNUAL BEST PAPER Award

The Cezairliyan Prize, named after the journal’s founding Editor, Dr Ared Cezairliyan, recognises a paper judged to make a significant advance in the field of thermophysics, published in International Journal of Thermophysics in the previous calendar year, and is selected by a prize committee from the journal’s Editorial Board. It carries a certificate and a cash award for the author, and is presented at the main thermophysics conference in each year (Asian Thermophysical Properties Conference, the European Conference on Thermophysical Properties, or the Symposium on Thermophysical Properties).
